Father John Onorato Annual Game Challenge Trophy
In 1964, Al '43 and Lucie Joseph donated this trophy to be given to the winner of the annual Aquinas-McQuaid football game. The trophy was to honor a priest who made a difference in Al's life while attending Aquinas Institiute. The trophy is a symbol of one's man belief in tradition and excellence and the true value of a Catholic education. A value that Al and Lucie took seriously as they sent all four boys to Aquinas and all four girls to Nazareth. The trophy has become a yearly tradition honoring two Catholic high schools and the values they embody. At the end of each game, coaches from each team pick an MVP. These players receive the Joseph Award in memory of Al and Lucie Joseph.
